Senior Actuarial Analyst (Economic Modelling & Statistics)

Are you motivated by the opportunity to shape economic valuation and financial reporting for Zurich Switzerland's life insurance business? Would you like to combine your actuarial expertise with economic modelling, data analytics and automation to deliver meaningful insights for business decisions?

In this role, you will strengthen the Life business unit within IL Economic Modelling & Statistics at Zurich Switzerland and make an important contribution to our shared success. You will take responsibility for economic valuation models and actuarial metrics, including IFRS 17 and SST, and translate complex analyses into clear business insights. At the same time, you will further develop our models, processes and automation and contribute your expertise to key actuarial initiatives.

What you can expect

  • You develop, maintain and enhance economic valuation models in PROPHET for Life Insurance Switzerland.
  • You deliver, review and challenge actuarial metrics for IFRS 17 and SST, ensuring accurate and timely results.
  • You translate complex actuarial analyses into clear insights and recommendations for senior management.
  • You lead and contribute to key actuarial projects, initiatives and ad-hoc analyses.
  • You improve and automate actuarial processes and models using tools such as SQL, PROPHET, Python and R.

What makes you stand out

  • University degree in actuarial science, mathematics, physics or a comparable quantitative field.
  • Fully or nearly qualified actuary (SAA/SAV or equivalent) with relevant professional experience in actuarial or analytical roles.
  • Strong experience in developing, maintaining and critically reviewing actuarial models and financial metrics.
  • Strong technical and analytical capabilities, including experience with relevant modelling, data and automation tools.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills combined with fluency in English.
