Job description:
  • Support the development and delivery of HEOR strategies and evidence-generation activities across hematology assets in Europe and New Markets.
  • Partner with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Biostatistics and Global teams to identify evidence gaps and prioritize HEOR activities based on regional and country needs.
  • Develop and execute evidence-generation projects, including comparative effectiveness research, real-world evidence and health economic analyses.
  • Contribute to European HTA and EU Joint Clinical Assessment (JCA) evidence strategy and readiness.
  • Support JCA PICO strategy and planning, including assessment of relevant populations, subgroups, comparators and outcomes, identification of evidence gaps and evaluation of potential evidence-generation approaches.
  • Lead or support comparative evidence generation for JCA and other HTA requirements.
  • Develop and critically review study protocols, analysis plans, reports, publications and other HEOR deliverables, ensuring scientific and methodological quality.
  • Evaluate clinical trial, external and real-world data together with internal experts and external partners to determine the most appropriate approaches for addressing evidence gaps.
  • Manage external HEOR vendors and projects, including scope definition, methodological review, timelines, deliverables and quality control.
  • Support the interpretation and communication of HEOR evidence, including assumptions, uncertainty, limitations and implications for HTA and evidence strategy.

Requirements:
  • A Master’s degree or PhD in Health Economics, Outcomes Research, Epidemiology, Public Health, Statistics or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in HEOR, HTA, real-world evidence or comparative effectiveness research, ideally gained within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry or consulting.
  • A strong understanding of European HTA and evidence requirements; knowledge of or experience with the EU HTA Regulation and Joint Clinical Assessment (JCA) is a strong advantage.
  • Experience with comparative effectiveness methodologies such as ITC/NMA and, ideally, population-adjusted approaches including MAIC/STC.
  • Hands-on experience designing, managing and critically reviewing HEOR studies and collaborating with external research vendors.
  • Experience or knowledge within hematology and/or oncology would be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to translate evidence gaps into actionable research activities.
  • The ability to work effectively across functions and geographies while managing multiple projects and changing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
