Azure Cloud Engineer (m,f,d) - Application Migration/IAM (80 - 100%)

Project: We are looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to support a large scale migration of applications from on-premises environments to Microsoft Azure. The role sits between application owners and infrastructure teams, helping assess existing applications, define suitable Azure target architectures and support the migration through to production and operational handover.

Tasks:

* Support application owners with the migration of applications to Azure
* Assess existing on-premises applications and Windows Server infrastructure
* Translate existing environments into suitable Azure target architectures
* Configure and validate Azure networking, firewall rules, IAM, security controls, monitoring and backup
* Deploy and maintain Azure infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible
* Support application testing, troubleshooting, cutover and post-migration stabilisation
* Work closely with application owners, infrastructure, security and platform teams
* Improve migration patterns, IaC modules and deployment processes
* Provide technical guidance and coordinate technical activities across involved teams

Required Skills & Experience:

* 5+ years of experience in Azure engineering, cloud infrastructure or cloud migration
* Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure
* Proven experience migrating applications from on-premises Windows Server environments to Azure
* Strong knowledge of Azure networking, landing zones, IAM, security and monitoring
* Hands-on experience with Terraform and/or Ansible, including reusable modules, state management and controlled deployments
* Good understanding of application dependencies, deployment processes, release management and operational handover
* Comfortable working directly with application owners and infrastructure teams

Nice to have:

* Experience within energy, utilities or energy trading
* Azure certifications
* Project management or technical coordination experience

Languages:

* Fluent English (written and spoken)
* Fluent German (written and spoken)
