Director of Insight, Strategy & Pricing (m/f/x)
Responsibilities
  • Build the information foundation: Lead the shift from intuition-based decisions to data-driven business management. Create and maintain a reliable global single source of truth, and give the business real visibility into sell-out trends, consumer behaviour and competitor activity.
  • Understand the consumer: Own the global consumer funnel across acquisition, retention and loyalty. Analyse purchase rituals, smoking frequency, segmentation and basket composition, and bring flagship store and CRM transaction data together into unified customer dashboards.
  • Drive pricing and profitability: Develop global pricing strategies aligned with brand positioning and margin goals. Build elasticity and willingness-to-pay models, run profitability simulations ahead of any pricing or portfolio change, and advise on pricing architecture, assortment and premiumisation.
  • Validate innovation: Put consumer validation behind new products, packaging and campaigns. Lead qualitative and quantitative research across priority markets.
  • Shape strategy and marketing intelligence: Support leadership with consumer forecasting, trend analysis and opportunity assessments. Give analytical direction to global marketing and portfolio management, and act as strategic advisor to marketing and product teams.
  • Own the retail strategy for Davidoff of Geneva stores: Define an attractive asset-light franchise concept, identify high-potential markets and build a pipeline of new doors. Create a standardised turnkey store concept and playbook covering format, layout, merchandising, branding and service, ensure every store feeds transaction and consumer data into the global CRM, equip partners with the tools and benchmarks to run on-brand stores, and track performance against clear KPIs.
  • Grow the accessories category: Take ownership of the accessories P&L, growing revenue and gross margin through an attractive assortment while keeping inventory healthy, in close coordination with the regions.
  • Lead and build: Build the insights, strategy and pricing team and lead the accessories and retail departments. Govern consumer pricing policy alongside the commercial teams, and grow a data-driven culture across the organisation.
Qualifications and experience
  • 10+ years in insights, strategy, analytics or category/pricing roles, ideally in premium consumer, luxury, retail or FMCG, with a meaningful part of that in a retail context
  • Strong pricing and profitability discipline: pricing architecture, elasticity and willingness-to-pay modelling, profitability simulation
  • A track record of building a single source of truth: dashboards, KPIs and reporting that turn fragmented sell-out, CRM and consumer data into decisions
  • Direct P&L ownership of a category or business line, with revenue and gross margin growth and healthy inventory behind you
  • Retail strategy exposure: store concepts, formats, merchandising, and the economics of an asset-light franchise or partner-led network
  • Experience translating consumer research and behavioural data into product, pricing and marketing decisions across international markets
  • Leadership experience building a new function and shifting an organisation from intuition to evidence
  • Familiarity with the tobacco category or another highly regulated premium category
  • A university degree in business, economics or marketing; an MBA is an advantage
  • Fluent English; further languages are an asset in a multi-market environment
  • Excellent communication and genuine adaptability across very different conversation partners
