Group Buyer Raw Materials

 For the location in Baar we are looking for a Group Buyer Raw Materials (Sugar) where you play an important role within the Group Procurement team and are responsible for the strategic procurement of certain categories of Raw Materials on a group level.

Your responsibilities

• Strategic, tactical, and operational responsibility for raw material portfolios, securing supply for up to 13 European production sites
• Analysis of market trends and cost drivers to develop and implement tailored sourcing strategies
• Negotiation of framework agreements and service level agreements based on the "Total Cost of Ownership" philosophy, along with managing global supplier relationships
• Ensuring supply security and production continuity while balancing quality, sustainability, and price competitiveness
• Close cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Marketing, Quality, and Logistics, particularly on new and existing product development (NPD/EPD)
• Driving continuous improvement in procurement processes and supporting sustainable and ethical sourcing goals
• Monitoring contracts, volumes and purchase price variances, with direct reporting to the Group Procurement Manager Raw Materials

Your profile:

• University degree with relevant purchasing certification, paired with at least 5 years of experience in strategic procurement and sourcing negotiations (preferably FMCG)
• Strong, proven background in operational and strategic procurement of raw materials/commodities
• Excellent analytical capabilities and strong affinity for numbers/data, paired with hands-on operational strength and pragmatic execution in daily business
• Proficiency in standard MS Office tools, with SAP and BI knowledge as a distinct advantage
• Reliable, accurate, hands-on, diplomatic communicator, and proactive team player with an entrepreneurial mindset
• Fluency in English and German, French is a strong plus. Willingness to travel occasionally across Europe
