At Geistlich, you will lead complex medical device development projects that contribute to advancing tissue regeneration and improving patient outcomes. From early concept through design transfer and market readiness, you will bring together experts across R&D, Process Development, Quality, Regulatory, Operations, Medical Affairs, and Marketing to turn innovative ideas into successful products.
As Senior Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to shape projects with a high degree of ownership and visibility - working in an international environment where scientific expertise, collaboration, and long-term thinking matter.
Your Responsibilities
Lead complex medical device development and line extension projects from concept through market readiness
Own timelines, budgets, resources, risks, deliverables, stakeholder alignment and project reporting
Lead cross-functional teams,drive decisions and project governance
Ensure compliance with Design Controls and applicable quality / regulatory requirements
Coordinate design planning, , V&V, risk management, manufacturing transfer and scale up
Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and critical issues
Your Profile
Degree or professional qualification in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, Natural Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field
8+ years of experience leading multidisciplinary teams, programs, or complex initiatives in regulated industries
5+ years of project management experience in Medical Devices, Life Sciences, IVD or other highly regulated industries
Proven experience leading cross-functional product development projects
Hands-on experience with Design Controls from user needs through design transfer
Strong knowledge of ISO 13485, ISO 14971, FDA and/or EU MDR requirements
Strong leadership, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead without direct authority
Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented approach
Fluent in German and English
Experience in biomaterials, regenerative medicine, dental solutions, orthopedics, wound care, diagnostics, biologics, or related healthcare sectors is an advantage
