Investment and Risk Analyst

We are currently looking for an experienced Investment & Risk Analyst to join a leading banking institution in Basel for an initial 6-month contract, with possibility of extension.

💰 Support daily Profit & Loss (P&L) control activities, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

📊 Provide clear and insightful briefings to management on realised and anticipated profitability, as well as key risk exposures from a total balance sheet perspective.

⚙️ Review and enhance critical Middle Office business processes, leveraging modern technology to improve efficiency and operational resilience.

📈 Support the development, ownership and maintenance of analytical products, data products and dashboards, enabling data-driven decision-making across the Front Office and Banking Management.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong combination of financial markets knowledge, quantitative analysis and Python who is interested in working within an international banking environment.

✅ 4+ years of experience as an Investment Analyst, Risk Analyst, Market Risk Analyst, Financial Modelling/Quant Analyst or similar

✅ Strong knowledge of financial instruments, including derivatives

✅ Good understanding of valuation and profitability measurement concepts

✅ Strong Python programming skills – essential

✅ Experience analysing the business logic behind financial/business processes
