Your role

The Product Portfolio Senior Manager is responsible for translating the AISTS portfolio strategy into a coherent, prioritised and commercially viable product portfolio across three product areas: Education, Athletes Pathways, and Advisory. It initially owns direct responsibility for both Education and Athletes Pathways products streams.

The role ensures that AISTS moves from a primarily MAS-centred organisation toward an integrated platform combining industry access, short and tailored education, athlete-career transition solutions, and international sport organisations advisory services (e.g. impact assessments, certification, research mandates, etc.).

Positioning & Context

Reporting to the Executive Director, you will work in partnership with the Professors, experts, speakers and partners of the AISTS network. Internally, you will work closely with the Head of B2B Partnerships & Development and the Head of Operations & Delivery. Initially, you will manage the Sport Advisory Product Coordinator.

This role is established as part of a new strategy adopted and rolled out by AISTS. The scope of the role may evolve according to the deployment of the strategy.

Key responsibilities

Portfolio Management

  • Own the consolidated product portfolio roadmap across Education, Athletes Pathways and Advisory.
  • Establish common product management standards and coherence across products in terms of target audiences, value propositions, pricing logic, delivery model, resource needs and expected contribution.
  • Prioritise product development using mission alignment, market demand, revenue potential, profitability, scalability, feasibility and strategic value.
  • Translate strategic priorities into clear product briefs, annual product plans, performance indicators and implementation milestones.
  • Maintain product governance discipline, ensuring that each product has an owner, business case, delivery model, quality criteria, review cycle and is aligned with B2B development (proposal development) and clearly framed for the Operations and Delivery team to operate
  • Provide the Executive Director with a consolidated view of product performance, portfolio risks, dependencies and investment priorities.

Product ownership

1. Athlete Pathways

  • Design and develop the AISTS Athletes Pathways offer, including education, transition, employability, leadership, entrepreneurship and mentoring formats for active, retiring and retired athletes.
  • Build the product value proposition for IFs, NOCs, Olympic stakeholders, athlete commissions, agencies, sponsors and individual athletes.
  • Coordinate athlete-specific curriculum development, mentor pools, career coaching components and storytelling opportunities with alumni, industry experts and corporate partners.
  • Track performance of the athlete pathway product, including athletes supported, revenues, scholarships, partner satisfaction and post-programme outcomes.

2. Master of Advanced Studies in Sport Management and Technology (MAS) & Continued Education programmes

  • Coordinate curriculum architecture, learning formats, field visits, internships, Client Team Projects, research papers and industry exposure to maintain and strengthen the leading positioning of the programme.
  • Work with delivery coordinators and academic partners to ensure programme design is feasible, coherent and quality-controlled.
  • Lead on the design of the annual Continued Education portfolio across Sport Business, Sport Leadership and Sport Technology, ensuring their relevance for market needs
  • Define course value propositions, target segments, learning outcomes, course leaders, pricing logic and annual calendar priorities.
  • Source lecturers and guest speakers and, where relevant, supervise MAS Client Team Projects

3. Training Houses and tailored education solution

  • Develop repeatable B2B education offers for sport organisations starting with IFs and then NOCs, NFs, LOCs, etc.
  • Package tailored education into clear formats, such as staff training, leadership journeys, member federation modules, Olympic Capital Training Weeks and capability-building workshops ensuring balanced customisation and reusability

4. Learning innovation and online support

  • Use digital or online learning selectively to support continuity, blended formats, pre-work, follow-up modules or scalable partner needs.
  • Contribute to the development of reusable learning assets, templates, cases and content libraries when they improve product quality and scalability.
  • Coordinate with academic and industry stakeholders to keep education products relevant to emerging trends such as digital, AI, sustainability, governance, fan engagement and commercial innovation.

Product team management

  • Manage and coordinate the work with the product coordinator(s).
  • Ensure that product owners work closely with Business Development and Marketing for market relevance, positioning and partnerships and with Operations for delivery feasibility.

Your skills and experience

Experience:

  • 8 years of experience, with minimum 3 years in continuing education programme design and/or product development;
  • Strong ability to bring strategy into product architecture, priorisation and execution plans;
  • Business mindset, with ability to assess value propositions, pricing and financial contribution without compromising AISTS quality and mission;
  • Strong understanding of Olympic and international sport ecosystem, including trends and challenges in the sport industry, and experience in working with / on elite-athletes related topics;
  • Relevant network in the sport industry and international sport organisations a strong asset;
  • Familiarity with Swiss higher education environment an asset;

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Office 365; experience with e-learning, AI solutions, data management and CRM an asset;
  • Native-level fluency in English or French, with proficiency in the other language  (3rd language is a plus).
  • Familiarity with AISTS activities and the MAS programme is highly valued;
  • Experience related to sport (athlete, volunteer, coach or management) is highly valued;

Personal Traits: Agile, flexible with ability to adapt in all situation, reliable, highly organised and at ease with multitasking and service-oriented with strong communication skills in multicultural environments.

Education: Master (MSc) degree in (Sport) Management and Business, Applied Sciences or Engineering with a keen interest for human and athlete development.
