Global Clinical Distribution Lead

Working within a global clinical supply chain team, you will manage end-to-end distribution activities for a portfolio of clinical studies. Your responsibilities will cover the deployment of clinical inventory across an international depot network, from technical release through importation and delivery to depots and clinical sites.
About the customer:
Swisslinx is seeking a Global Clinical Distribution Lead on behalf of an international pharmaceutical company. This role offers the opportunity to support a diverse clinical development portfolio, helping ensure investigational medicines reach clinical trial sites and patients on time.
Requirements:
- Manage on-time delivery of shipments across the distribution network to meet study requirements and patient demand.
- Represent clinical distribution in cross-functional study and supply execution teams.
- Resolve operational and system issues affecting delivery performance, working with internal stakeholders and external providers.
- Coordinate depot replenishment with clinical demand and supply planning teams.
- Lead and contribute to distribution projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records in clinical supply systems and perform first- and second-level troubleshooting.
- Work within a GMP-compliant environment and follow established quality procedures.
- Process quality incidents, corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), and change controls, where applicable.
Compensation benefits:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Biotechnology or a related field.
- At least three years of experience in clinical trial management, logistics, warehouse management or another supply chain discipline, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP or comparable ERP systems.
- Experience working in cross-functional, international teams and agile organisational environments.
- Fluency in English, with strong communication and active listening skills.
- An action-oriented approach and the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex situations independently.
- The ability to prioritise multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.
- A collaborative mindset and a commitment to continuous learning and process improvement.
Experience with clinical supply management systems, quality management platforms, Microsoft Office and Google Workspace would be beneficial. Operational Excellence, Six Sigma or Lean training, and APICS or SCOR certification, are also advantageous.
